These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Rubbish Removal Haringey provides waste removal and related services to domestic and commercial customers. By making a booking, confirming a quote, or allowing our team to collect waste from your premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

1.1 Service means any rubbish removal, waste collection, clearance, loading, transportation, disposal, recycling or related service provided by us.

1.2 Customer means the individual, business or organisation that requests or books the Service.

1.3 Premises means the property or site from which the waste is to be collected or where the Service is to be provided.

1.4 Waste means any rubbish, junk, debris, household waste, commercial waste, garden waste or other materials agreed to be removed as part of the Service.

1.5 Quote means the price estimate or fixed price provided by us for the Service.

1.6 We, us, our means the operator of Rubbish Removal Haringey providing the Service to the Customer.

2. Scope of Service

2.1 We provide rubbish removal and waste collection services, which may include loading, lifting, carrying, and transporting waste from the Premises to licensed disposal or recycling facilities.

2.2 The exact scope of the Service for each job, including the type and approximate volume or weight of waste to be removed, will be confirmed at the time of booking or upon arrival at the Premises.

2.3 We reserve the right to refuse to remove any items that are not as described at the time of booking, are hazardous or prohibited, or cannot be safely handled by our team or vehicle.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by telephone, email, online form or other communication channels we make available.

3.2 When making a booking, the Customer must provide accurate information about the nature, quantity and location of the waste, access conditions at the Premises, and any factors that may affect the time required or safety of the Service.

3.3 Any Quote given prior to our arrival is based on the information supplied by the Customer and is an estimate only, unless expressly confirmed as a fixed price.

3.4 Upon arrival at the Premises, our team will assess the Waste and confirm the final price for the Service. If the volume, weight or type of Waste differs significantly from the original description, we may revise the Quote accordingly.

3.5 The Customer is deemed to accept the final price when they instruct our team to proceed with the loading and removal of the Waste.

4. Access and Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer must ensure that we have safe, reasonable and timely access to the Premises and to the Waste at the agreed time.

4.2 The Customer is responsible for obtaining any permissions, permits or authorisations required for us to access the Premises, including from landlords, neighbours, managing agents or local authorities.

4.3 If access to the Premises is restricted, significantly delayed, unsafe or impossible due to circumstances within the Customer s control, we may cancel the Service or apply waiting time or abortive visit charges.

4.4 The Customer must ensure that the Waste to be removed is clearly identified, separated from items that are to be retained, and not contaminated with hazardous substances unless specifically agreed in advance.

4.5 The Customer must not request the removal of any items that they do not own or have the legal right to dispose of. By instructing us, the Customer warrants that they are entitled to authorise the removal and disposal of the Waste.

5. Waste Types and Prohibited Materials

5.1 We handle general household, commercial and garden waste, and certain bulky items, in accordance with applicable waste regulations.

5.2 The following materials are typically considered hazardous or restricted and may not be accepted unless we have explicitly agreed in writing and subject to additional charges and conditions: asbestos, chemicals, solvents, oils, fuel, gas bottles, clinical or medical waste, pressurised containers, explosives, radioactive materials, and certain electrical or electronic equipment.

5.3 We reserve the right to refuse to handle any Waste which, in our reasonable opinion, poses a health or safety risk, is illegal to transport or dispose of, or cannot be managed with our standard equipment and licences.

5.4 If prohibited or hazardous materials are discovered mixed with other Waste after loading, the Customer remains responsible for any additional costs, regulatory consequences, or penalties arising from their inclusion.

6. Pricing and Payments

6.1 Our charges are usually based on the volume, weight and type of Waste, the labour involved, and the access and loading conditions at the Premises.

6.2 All prices will be quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to VAT where applicable.

6.3 Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due in full on completion of the Service, on the same day that the Waste is collected.

6.4 We accept common payment methods such as cash, debit or credit card, or bank transfer, subject to availability. We do not accept cheques unless expressly agreed in advance.

6.5 For commercial Customers or larger projects, we may issue invoices with agreed payment terms. Invoices must be paid in full within the stated period. We reserve the right to charge interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue amounts.

6.6 If the Customer fails to make payment when due, we may suspend or cancel any further Services and pursue recovery of any sums outstanding.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Waiting Time

7.1 The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving us reasonable notice prior to the agreed arrival time.

7.2 If a cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the scheduled Service, no cancellation fee will normally apply, unless a specific non-refundable deposit has been agreed for a particular job.

7.3 If a cancellation or rescheduling request is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled Service, we may charge a late cancellation fee to cover administrative and staffing costs.

7.4 If our team arrives at the Premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, unable to proceed due to safety reasons, or the Customer is not present where required, we may charge an abortive visit fee, which may include a call-out charge and any time spent waiting.

7.5 We aim to arrive within agreed time slots, but all arrival times are estimates. Factors such as traffic, weather, previous jobs and operational issues may cause delays. We will use reasonable efforts to inform the Customer of any significant changes to the estimated time of arrival.

7.6 We will not be liable for any losses resulting from reasonable delays, but if we are unable to provide the Service on the agreed day due to our own fault, we will offer to reschedule at a mutually convenient time or cancel the Service and refund any amounts paid for the affected booking.

8. Performance of the Service

8.1 Our team will carry out the Service with reasonable care and skill, consistent with good industry practice for rubbish removal and waste collection.

8.2 We will make reasonable efforts to avoid damage to property while performing the Service. However, the Customer must inform us of any fragile areas, underground services, delicate surfaces or other risks at the Premises before the work commences.

8.3 The Customer is responsible for protecting floors, walls, doorways, driveways and other surfaces if they are concerned about potential scuffs or minor damage arising from the normal movement of waste and equipment.

8.4 Where we are asked to remove items from lofts, basements, roof spaces, or other difficult areas, the Customer accepts that there may be a higher risk of minor damage or disturbance, and must ensure that such areas are safe to access.

9. Liability and Limitations

9.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, we will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or purely economic loss, including loss of profit, business, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Service.

9.3 Subject to clause 9.1, our total liability to the Customer for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with a particular Service shall not exceed the total amount paid or payable by the Customer for that Service.

9.4 We will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from inaccurate information supplied by the Customer, failure to obtain necessary permissions, or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

9.5 We will not be liable for any damage to concealed or underground services, wiring, pipes or structures that are not reasonably visible or disclosed to us before the work begins.

9.6 The Customer should remove or secure valuable or fragile items before the Service. We cannot accept responsibility for items that are accidentally taken away if they were not clearly separated from the Waste.

10. Waste Disposal and Environmental Compliance

10.1 We will carry, transfer and dispose of Waste in accordance with relevant UK waste management laws and regulations, using licensed facilities where required.

10.2 We aim to reuse, recycle or recover materials wherever reasonably practicable, but we make no guarantee that any particular item will be reused or recycled.

10.3 Where applicable, we may issue a waste transfer note or other documentation recording the collection and transfer of Waste. The Customer must keep any such documents for their records and compliance obligations.

10.4 The Customer agrees not to request or authorise any action that would cause us to breach waste management or environmental regulations, including fly-tipping or disposal at unlicensed locations.

11. Customer Complaints

11.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Service, they must notify us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, put matters right.

11.2 Complaints should be raised within a reasonable time after the Service has been completed, and should include details of the booking, the Premises and the nature of the concern.

11.3 We will review any complaint in good faith and, where we consider it justified, may offer a remedy such as a partial refund, a re-visit, or another appropriate solution.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

12.1 We will collect and process personal information about the Customer and their representatives only to the extent necessary to manage bookings, deliver the Service, handle payments, and comply with legal obligations.

12.2 We will take reasonable steps to keep personal data secure and will not sell or misuse it. We may share necessary details with our staff, contractors, payment providers and regulators where required for operational or legal reasons.

13. Amendments to these Terms

13.1 We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of the Customer s booking will apply to that Service.

13.2 Any significant changes will normally be published on our main communication channels. Continued use of our Service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

14.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

14.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Service.

15. General Provisions

15.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or regulator, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15.2 No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy.

15.3 The Customer may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without our prior written consent. We may assign or subcontract our rights and obligations, provided this does not reduce the level of service or protection to the Customer.

15.4 These Terms and Conditions, together with any confirmed Quote or written agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and us in relation to the Service, and supersede any previous discussions or understandings.
